Brexit has been accompanied by an increase in the numbers of UK citizens applying for dual nationality. There has been a notable rise in applications for dual nationality by UK citizens. For some UK citizens living in the EU27, this is seen as a solution to securing their futures in light of the changes that Brexit may bring to their lives.
